What are the symptoms of IgA nephritis

IgA nephritis are usually no symptoms in the early stage, even decades, patients will not be noticed. The first routine inspection found that the prevalence of urinary protein and red blood cells under a microscope to see only (microscopic hematuria).
IgA nephritis showed that renal function is impaired, and its symptoms include:
1 cola colored or brown urine (caused by red blood cells in the urine);
2 dark urine, recurrent, sometimes even visible blood in urine. This symptom usually occurs in the upper respiratory tract or other infections during or after;
3 lower back pain;
4 foamy urine;
5 hands and feet swelling (edema);
6 high blood pressure;
Hematuria or after 7 during respiratory infections;
8 dark urine, or hematuria recurrent;
9 symptoms of chronic kidney disease.
When to see a doctor
If you notice blood in urine or urinating less than usual, then should make an appointment with a doctor for diagnosis. Urinary tract bleeding can be strenuous exercise, certain foods, drugs or urinary tract infection. But long-term or repeated bleeding may indicate a more serious problem, should be thoroughly checked. If there is a bubble in urine or sudden swelling of the hands and feet part, then should consult a physician.
Check
During a physical examination may not see concrete changes. Sometimes, the blood pressure will rise or appear swollen body.
Checks include:
10. BUN (blood test)
11 serum creatinine (detection of renal function)
12 biopsy (diagnosed)
13 urine
14 urine immunoelectrophoresis
Treatment
The purpose of treatment is to relieve symptoms, prevent or delay chronic renal failure.
Some drugs can control high blood pressure and edema, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers. Control of blood pressure is an important way to delay kidney damage.
Corticosteroids, other drugs that suppress the immune system, disease and fish oil are also treatable.
Limit the intake of salt and liquid control swelling. Some patients need low to moderate protein diet or taking medication to lower cholesterol.
Prognosis
IgA nephritis deteriorate more slowly. In many cases, the situation does not become worse. But if you have the following diseases may be very dangerous:
1 hypertension
2 contains a large number of proteins in urine
Increased BUN or serum creatinine level 3
About 25 percent of adult patients develop IgA nephritis stage renal failure in 25 years.
Complications may arise
1 acute nephritis syndrome or nephrotic syndrome
2 chronic renal failure
3 ESRD
